U.S. Prohibits Transactions between Iranian maritime carrier and U.S. Citizens

The Treasury Department has designated the Islamic Republic of Iran Shipping Lines (IRISL) and 18 other affiliated entities as proliferators of weapons of mass destruction (WMD). Designations under Executive Order 13382 are implemented by the U.S. Treasury Department and they prohibit all transactions between the designees and any U.S. person. In addition, they freeze any assets the designees may have under U.S. jurisdiction.
