TIA 2021 Conference Meet Safe

TIA is working closely with the JW Marriott Desert Ridge senior hotel management and staff to ensure everyone who attends in-person has an amazing experience. Below outlines the steps and procedures we have implemented to reach these goals. We can't wait to see you!

Daily health screenings: Attendees will be required to read and sign a health wellness waiver prior to arrival (view video here).

Each day attendees will receive a link to answer three health questions prior to entering the meeting space. If they receive a green checkmark, they will be allowed entry, if a red checkmark, additional screening by medical personnel will be provided.

After showing a green checkmark, each attendee will have a temperature check performed. If the temperature is elevated, further evaluation will be required by on-site medical personnel.

Dedicated Medical Personnel On-site at the hotel with a dedicated medical room equipped with medicines, tests, IV's defibrillator, etc. Medical personnel is on call 24/7 solely for TIA attendees.

To limit person-to-person contact, no registration bags will be provided.

Name badges will be accessible by scan and go printers, lanyards optional.

Wellness kits that include a face mask, hand sanitizer, gloves, wipes will be mailed prior to arrival to all in-person attendees.

Additional disposable face masks will be provided to all in-person attendees.

Plexiglass dividers at the registration desk.

Hand sanitizer stations throughout the meeting space and all entrances to meeting rooms.

Attendees will be scanned into all education sessions, general session ballroom, and exhibit hall.

All meeting rooms set to CDC and State of Arizona social distancing guidelines.

Assigned seating in the general session room – attendees will sit in the same seat for all sessions.

Timed entry into the general sessions to prevent lines, overcrowding at the entrance.

One entrance and one exit to all meeting rooms.

Mandatory mask-wearing unless actively eating or drinking.

Exhibit booth staff will be limited to follow capacity limits. Staff must remain in booths during exhibit hall hours.

Exhibitor Service desk will be staffed but exhibitors will request assistance via text message.

One entrance and one exit to the exhibit hall.

Traffic flow in the exhibit hall will be in one direction with directional arrows provided on floors and signage.

Possible timed entry into the exhibit hall.

Food and beverage pre-packaged and/or served by hotel staff behind plexiglass dividers to limit contact with food items.
