Celebrating Tech Innovators in Logistics: Inaugural TIA “Technovator of the Year” Award Open for Nominations

Alexandria, VA (August 1, 2023) – The Transportation Intermediaries Association (TIA) is now accepting nominations for its inaugural “Technovator of the Year” award, which is intended to celebrate logistics professionals who are driving change through their innovative use of technology.

The “Technovator of the Year” is a visionary who has demonstrated exceptional leadership and forward-thinking approaches to enhance efficiency, optimize operations, and transform the logistics landscape. This prestigious honor aims to highlight the remarkable achievements of logistics professionals, inspire others to do the same, and foster a culture of innovation within the logistics community.

“Logistics professionals are the unsung champions whose expertise ensures that goods can traverse borders, oceans, and continents efficiently and economically,” said Anne Reinke, TIA President and CEO. “The ‘Technovator of the Year’ award is a tribute to the people who have fearlessly embraced change and leveraged technology to reimagine the logistics space.”

“We’re excited to be able to introduce this new award to our TIA Members,” said Tom Curee, Chair of the TIA Technology Committee. “Recognizing the successes within our member community is important as we serve at the center of the supply chain.”

The nomination period runs from August 1 to August 31, 2023. Colleagues or industry peers can submit nominations, and self-nominations are also accepted. Nominations should showcase people who have made significant contributions to the logistics industry through their use of technology.

After the nomination period closes, the TIA Technology Committee will select three finalists from the pool of nominees. The finalists will be recognized during an awards ceremony at TIA 2023 Technovations, taking place October 18-20 at the Marriott Marquis San Diego Marina. Only one finalist will receive the TIA Technovator of the Year award.
