TIA Members serve tens-of-thousands of shippers every day and play a key role in domestic and international commerce, with one out of every three of the largest shippers using one or more 3PLs to help them arrange for the movement of their freight. 3PLs arrange the shipping of all types of goods by cargo ship, airplane, truck, and rail. They do so economically and efficiently; adding value to the supply chain through cost savings, reducing fuel consumption, and cutting emissions.

Transportation Intermediaries Association (TIA) is the professional organization of the $214 billion third-party logistics industry. TIA is the only organization exclusively representing transportation intermediaries of all disciplines doing business in domestic and international commerce. TIA is the voice of transportation intermediaries to shippers, carriers, government officials, and international organizations.
