TIA Celebrates Its Members All Month Long
June Is TIA Member Appreciation Month in Conjunction with National Logistics Day on June 28
JUNE 1, 2021 – ALEXANDRIA, VIRGINIA – Transportation Intermediaries Association (TIA), the voice of the third-party logistics (3PL) industry, announced today the 2nd Annual TIA Member Appreciation Month begins today and will run throughout June. TIA Member Appreciation Month is a time to recognize the significant and often under-appreciated role of the logistics industry within the greater transportation ecosystem. TIA’s month-long campaign will highlight the logistics industry and culminate in the 3rd Annual National Logistics Day on June 28, 2021 – an annual day to recognize and appreciate the importance of the logistics industry.
“We helped start the first National Logistics Day movement three years ago on June 28,” said Scott Frederick, Vice President of Marketing and LTL Carrier Relations for Logistics Inc., an Erie, PA-based global third-party logistics company. “Now that TIA, the preeminent voice for third-party logistics, has taken the reins, this is truly an industry-wide celebration. We are proud of what we do to support global supply chains, and we are equally proud to be a long-time member of this great association.”
During TIA Member Appreciation Month, we will be highlighting our milestone members – those that have had 25, 30, 35 & 40 years of Membership with the Association! The TIA Board of Directors and Staff thank these members for their long-standing support of the Association and the logistics industry.
“From all of us at TIA, we are proud to honor all of our members this month for their dedication and service to the supply chain,” said Anne Reinke, TIA President & CEO. “The Association would not be able to flourish without such a strong membership base, which TIA is grateful to have. We strive to continue supporting the efforts of the third-party logistics industry by providing the tools and resources needed to grow a successful and ethical freight brokerage while advocating for our members about the critical role they play in the supply chain.”
TIA has created a dedicated page on its website to recognize Member Appreciation Month and National Logistics Day. In addition to providing background and information on the logistics industry and National Logistics Day, the page also includes promotional materials that members can share with their customers or display on their own websites and social platforms!
TIA is also excited to announce a few special promotions available exclusively to TIA Members throughout Member Appreciation Month:
• Enter a raffle to win the chance to join TIA Leadership for a virtual luncheon to discuss any issues, concerns, or ideas you may have for the Association or industry. Entries will be placed into three groups based on the company’s size (small, medium, and large), with five winners being drawn from each of these three groups.
• Enter a raffle to win a complimentary registration for TIA’s New Employee Orientation (NEO) Online Course. Designed to ease the burden of employee onboarding, the NEO Online Course covers all the basics of transportation and freight brokerage, including an overview of rules and regulations, business ethics, how to sell, and more!
• Enter a raffle to win a complimentary registration to TIA’s 2021 3PLXTEND Hybrid Xperience, taking place October 21-22, 2021 in San Antonio, Texas. The winner will be able to select from an in-person or virtual registration.
This past year has been very difficult for many TIA Members but through it all, they continued to serve tens of thousands of shippers every day while connecting to tens of thousands of carriers, and play a key role in domestic and international commerce. TIA Members have expressed steadfast resolve and dedication to the industry, assuring that our Nation’s store shelves were stocked, and goods were received – all while navigating unprecedented disruptions to the global supply chain as a result of the global COVID-19 pandemic.
